As we get older, our faces naturally lose volume. Lips can thin, lines can deepen, and features can lose their definition. Dermal fillers are a gentle way to restore what time has taken and enhance what you already have.
At Vixen Brows & Aesthetics, my approach is always subtle and natural. I want people to say you look amazing, not knowing what you’ve had done.
Dermal fillers can help replenish the volume that’s been lost from our face with age, weight loss, stress or it can be used to enhance features such as cheeks, lips, jaw, chin.
Dermal filler is Hyaluronic acid in an injectable gel form, made from a substance naturally found in the body that helps retain moisture. Carefully placed beneath the skin, they can add fullness, improve facial balance and create more defined contours.
HYALURONIC ACID – Think: When we are young we look like a nice juicy grape and as we age, our skin looks like a raisin.

Your consultation
Every treatment starts with a consultation so that you are fully part of the process. We’ll talk through what you’d like to change, look at your face as a whole, and go through your medical history. I’ll be honest about what will suit you. If filler isn’t the right option, I’ll tell you.
It is occasionally hard to judge how much filler you will need, as skin tissue depth, bone density and skin laxity all contribute to how much is needed and sometimes we can’t tell that until part way through the process. What to expect
- Treatment time: usually around 30–45 minutes, including numbing
- Comfort: most fillers contain a local anaesthetic, and numbing cream can be applied first
- Afterwards: some swelling, tenderness or bruising is normal and usually settles within a few days to two weeks. Lips may look fuller at first while swelling settles
- How long it lasts: typically 6–12 months for lips and up to 12–18 months for other areas, varying from person to person

Your safety
Like any treatment involving injections, fillers carry some risks, including bruising, swelling, infection and, rarely, more serious complications. I’m fully trained in complication management and keep emergency protocols in place for every treatment.
Fillers are for clients aged 18 and over only, and photo ID may be requested.

- Downtime: 2-3 days of swelling (give 2 weeks for them to be totally settled)
- Do’s/Dont’s: DO book at least 1 week before going abroad (air pressure can affect it). DON’T take any blood thinning medication or consume alcohol before treatment, DON’T use sunbeds, sauna/steam/jacuzzi for 48 hours after treatment
- Longevity: 3-6 months – the more you have filler the longer it tends to last.
